Merriam-Webster Online
Online dictionary with searchable database.  Even if you enter a misspelled word, it will give you some possibilities from which you can choose.  You can also sign up for a word-of-the-day email.
A free and comprehensive reference site.  It offers searchable databases for the Columbia Encyclopedia, the American Heritage Dictionary, Roget’s Thesaurus, American Heritage Book of English Usage, Bartlett’s Familiar Quotations, and many others.


Atlas Online
An online atlas with maps and other information, such as population, climate, natural resources, commerce, and government.
